The Best of '09
Wow! I really cannot believe that another year has come and gone, but what a wonderful year it was. In January I celebrated my 29th birthday and it is so hard to believe that 30 is really just around the corner. It was so wonderful to share the occasion with friends and family. Unfortunately my parents were in Mexico and weren't able to be there but this year we will join them in Mexico for my 30th so I guess it's a good trade off. In February Greg and I attended the Hospice ball with our good friends Jake and Stacy. It is such a wonderful cause and the ball was a blast. In May we attended Greg's graduation CEREMONY, but knew we had one more semester until he actually graduated. At least there was a light at the end of the tunnel! In June we were able to go San Diego to visit our good friend Elias and his parents. We saw so many wonderful things and ate some amazing food. Mostly we just enjoyed the great company and it was hard to leave. My brother and his gorgeous family came to visit in August. My sister also came out to enjoy the fun. The highlight of their trip was being able to get a mani/pedi with my niece, Samantha. It was her first mani/pedi and she loved it! We also went to Splash Montana with the kids and the Farmer's Market. I really cannot believe how big and grown up they are getting! My Aunt Karan came to visit in October. It's always so amazing to see her. She is just one of the most fun and caring people I know! I had to miss the first three days of her visit due to the Swine Flu...I was so miserable, but I did get to enjoy a few days with her before she had to go back to Minnesota. Greg turned the BIG 2-7 in October as well and we celebrated his FAVORITE holiday, Halloween by carving pumpkins with my parents. Well, my mom and I carved pumpkins...Greg and my dad watched football! Of course November and December were consumed by "the Holidays". November and December tend to be my favorite time of the year because I get to spend such special time with my family. There's really just something to be said for uninterupted time with the people you love the most. We said farewell to 2009 with our great friends Jake, Stacy, Gabe and Jen and also made two new friends, Rob and Stacey. It totally reminded me of a song that my friend Kylie has been teaching her son...Make new friends but keep the old...so fun! And now we keep those memories very dear and are thankful for all the blessings in our life. We also look to the future and are so optimistic that things will be even better in 2010! Happy New Year!!!
