Today was our "travel day" to Cabo San Lucas, MX. I LOVE vacation...however, I DISLIKE travel days. I always wish I was the lady from Bewitched or Mary Poppins and I could just wiggle my nose and get there already! What a LONG day this one was too! We started our for Cabo at 5:15 am. Our flight plan took us from Missoula to Denver, Denver to L.A., L.A. to Cabo. Then from the San Jose del Cabo airport we had about a 40 minute taxi ride to the resort. To make things just a little crazier we had to change airlines in L.A. Overall it was 14 hours of travel! However, as much as I don't really like travel days, I do enjoy flying. I honestly believe it to be very relaxing and a wonderful form of transportation. Plus, every time I fly I always think it proves God's existence. There's just something that happens in my spirit when I see things like the Rocky Mountains and the Pacific Ocean from thousands of feet in the air. It's just too hard for me to believe that something so magnificent and detailed was an accident. It's so much more planned and organized and glorious than mere circumstance. And as juvenille as it seems, when ever I am flying above the clouds I always think, "This must be where the angels live."
After our long day of travel my parents and our good friends Bob and Linda Eddy were waiting at the entrance to our resort, Pueblo Bonita at Sunset Beach. It was such a whirlwind trying to say hello and getting to our room, but once we were settled in we were more than content. The six of us shared a few bottles of wine and had great conversation. Late that night Greg, my mom and I made our way down to the beach. It was so dark that we couldn't really see anything but the sound of the ocean was so relaxing. It felt lie the waves were saying, "Welcome. Welcome to paradise."
